My answer:
I absolutely loved Jace from The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, but by the 4th book he started to annoy me. He went from the sarcastic badboy to just whining all the time. Hopefully that was just temporary behavior and he'll be back to his old self in City of Lost Souls. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Jace seems to be a popular answer! I've only read the first two books of The Mortal Instruments though, so I still like Jace for now. :D
