Feature & Follow Friday (20)

Feature & Follow Friday is a meme hosted by Parajunkiee's View & Alison Can Read. Check out their blogs and the two Featured Bloggers of the week! This is great for finding amazing new blogs to follow and for gaining followers yourself!

This weeks question is:
"This Sunday in the U.S. is Mother's Day, in celebration, what are some of your favorite books with strong mother/child relationships?"

My answer:
I really have no idea. I'm sure I've read tons of books with strong mother/child bonds and relationships, but I really can't think of any examples. However, I recently read Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. In it there is a different type of mother/child relationship then this question is probably asking for though. That story included a brokenhearted mother who had lost her small daughter which really isn't something anybody should have to go through.

What about you? Leave your answer to this weeks question in the comments below.

  1. Hi! Happy Friday, fab answer. I found this one really difficult to answer, to be honest. Anyway, new follower! Hope you can stop by my blog sometime. :)

    Jessica from Booked Up!

  2. I chose Harry Potty and Molly Weasley. Not strickly accurate, but I think it works.

    Here is my FF.

  3. Hey! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! I haven't read Change Of Heart, but I really like your blog! Made sure to follow back!

  4. Thanks for stopping by :) Oh, I tried reading this book before but I just couldn't get into it.

    Following back :)

  5. I haven't read that before, but I've heard lots of great things about Jodi Picoult. And it sounds interesting.
    Thanks for stopping by!

  6. I've never read any Jodi Picoult, but that book sounds darn sad! Thanks for stopping by my blog. New follower!

  7. My two favorite book moms are from the Brenna Blixen Novels by Liz Reinhardt and Slammed by Colleen Hoover.

I'm a new follower! Thanks for the comment on my blog!

  9. Thanks for stopping by the blog! Followed back.:)

  10. Haven't read the book. It's easier to remember how many books have absent moms than good ones.

Hope you'll visit my follow friday

  11. Nice! This was a hard one to answer this week! Took me awhile and my answers don't even feel that good to me! Not compared to the others I've been seeing! Haven't read this one either.

    Here's my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower :)

  12. Yeah I had a hard time with this question too. I'm kind of in the same boat since one of the few relationships I could think of wasn't quite what the question was asking for since it's not a typical positive mother-child relationship.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by my blog! I've followed back.

  13. this was rather a difficult question this week. :)

  17. I haven't read Change of Heart, but I liked My Sister's Keeper.
And if you like the style of Jodi Picoult, try Slammed by Colleen Hoover. I loved that book soooo much!

Thanks for stopping by my FF, following you back via GFC.

  18. Thanks for stopping by! I think your answer qualifies perfectly well for the question. Yes, it's tragic, but it still shows that bond and, as we all know, life isn't always just peaches and cream.

  19. Ooohh, I said My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult! I haven't read Change of Heart yet but I definitely have to check it out some time :)
