This weeks question is:
Black Friday Eve! You have $100 (or pounds or whatever your currency is) to spend on books. What are you going to buy?
I answered:
Honestly there are so many books I want to read and I never know which ones to buy when I actually have the chance. Plus, books are just way too expensive and I feel like $100 wouldn't buy as many as I would want (or need). So instead I would most likely put the money toward my Scribd subscription because it would pay for almost a full year of unlimited reading which just seems like a much better investment considering I don't even have room on any of my bookshelves.
(This kind of reads like an Ad or something, but it's not I promise LOL)
However, some of the books I've been wanting to get my hands on are:

However, some of the books I've been wanting to get my hands on are:
- Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, 4) by Marissa Meyer
- Until Friday Night (The Field Part, 1) by Abbi Glines
- Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen

The Friday 56 is a meme hosted by Freda's Voice. Basically you flip to page 56 (or 56% in your eReader) of any book and post a sentence or two (more if you want) from that page without being too spoiler-y. This gives us a glimpse into what you are reading or have read, and may even prompt us to add your book to our TBR piles!
My teaser:
My teaser:
My heart gave a violent lurch at the mention of the Iron Queen, and I narrowed my eyes. 'What was that?'
'You have to help us,' Todd exclaimed, oblivious to my sudden anger. 'These things are after me, and they don't look friendly.'"
Excerpt From: Julie Kagawa. “The Lost Prince.”
I really enjoyed the first Iron Fey book - I think I'll have to continue the series!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings).
I have to catch up with the Iron Fey! And I also like all the books of the Lunar Chronicles! Great choices!
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy this book although I liked the original series more.
ReplyDeleteDidn't like the first book in that series.... ;(
ReplyDeleteFor me, I'd love to buy The Maps of Middle Earth and Illustrated Movie Companions of Twilight Saga and VampireAcademy... Happy friday!
That's a good idea! As long as you use the money to feed your reading addiction, that's all that matters! ;)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I know my sister loves that series but I've never read it! I love both Winter and Saint Anything, definitely recommend them both!

I enjoyed that book. Of course, I like everything Julie Kagawa writes. I don't know what I would buy with an extra $100. I have 1960 books already on my TBR mountains and don't need anything. I have a fairy tale this week - The Amaranth Enchantment by Julie Berry. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting, I'll have to check it out.
Have a great day!
I'm trying to restrain myself from adding more books to my TBR pile, so I'd put the money aside for a while.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read anything by Julie Kagawa but I've heard a lot about this series. I'm not sure if it's something I'd enjoy.
My Friday post features The Mirror.
I have to get my hands on Winter. I still have to start reading the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa! It's been sitting on my shelf forever. New follower on GFC and Bloglovin :)
ReplyDeleteThat is probably a better choice. A year of unlimited reading vs. a few books? It's not too hard to choose...

I have yet to read the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. I need to start it soon because it keeps staring at me from my bookshelf haha :) Great post.
ReplyDeleteAnother series I keep meaning to get started on! So little time!

I LOVE this series too. Got the latest one on my Kindle but I haven't time yet.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
It's been a while since I read a Julie Kagawa book. Hope you enjoy your weekend!
