This weeks question is:
What are the funniest books you've ever read?
I answered:
I love witty characters so I'm going to say The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead because of Rose Hathaway and more recently I just finished Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist! by Kay Marie which was hilarious and amazing.

My teaser:
"There is one benefit to knowing someone for your entire life. Sure, Ollie has dirt on me. And well, a lot of it, because as you know, I have issues. But I also have dirt on him. Oh you know, just little things like he used to let Bridge and I braid his hair--butterfly clips, fake pink hair strands, glittery ties, the whole shebang. And yes, before you ask, I have the photos to prove it. Dirt!"
Excerpt From: Kay Marie. “Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist!.”
I love the sound of this book and if you says it's funny, count me in. I mean who doesn't love to laugh?! Thanks for the follow, following on Bloglovin'.
ReplyDeleteI could use a good laugh. I'd like to see the photos. LOL

The title alone makes me think this is good for some laughs.

This sounds like fun and the cover looks good as well. Not quite sure you should be keeping dirt on your friends but then, on the other hand, some of the pictures I have of my friends will make for excellent blackmail or embarrassing wedding-speech material! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you have a great weekend!

I also went with a witty character and when I read the question immediately thought of Percy Jackson :D I'm an old bloglovin follower and new GFC follwower!

The Vampire Academy is on my TBR so I'm glad to hear there's a little bit of humour too then. And Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist sound brilliant so I will definitely be checking it out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me.
I actually liked the Vampire Academy movie. I feel like I’m the only person who did! Does anybody else remember that movie from early last year? I haven’t gotten a chance to read the books or graphic novels yet. I probably should…

I mean, the name alone made me crack up, so I'm sure the book is hilarious. I'm going to look it up on Goodreads now.

I tried the VA series and never made it past book one, I have thought about trying again as some say it's better once you get past book one. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL Sounds like a hilarious read!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
I still need to read The Vampire Academy! Seems like something I would love :)
ReplyDeleteFollowing you through Google+!! :)

Well, that's an interesting title.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings).
That title says a lot, just for the title I would consider picking it up to look at it closer. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat picks for #FF I really need to start to read The Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead soon. I heard nothing but amazing reviews about this book series! Thank you for stopping by my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI just never think of Vampire Academy as being funny. I've only read the first two, but I'm seeing this mentioned a lot. I haven't heard of the other book -- I'll have to check it out. Thanks for stopping by.
