Waiting on Wednesday (22)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases we can not wait to read! This meme is the perfect way to add books to your TBR list. Along with upcoming releases, I sometimes include books that I have not had the chance to read or buy even if they have already come out.

Dance of Shadows
by Yelena Black
Release Date: February 12, 2013

From Barnes & Noble:
Vanessa Adler isn't so sure she really belongs at the School of American Ballet. But dance runs in her family. It's been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. Her grandmother and mother were prima ballerinas, and her older sister Margaret was, too. That is, until Margaret mysteriously disappeared from school three years ago. Vanessa is heir to the family's gift and the only person who can fulfill her sister's destiny. She has no choice.

But she never could have guessed how dangerous the school is. The infamous choreographer, Josef, isn't just ruthless with his pupils, he guards a sinister secret, one in which the school's dancer-prized for their beauty, grace, and discipline become pawns in a world of dark, deadly demons.

  11. I'm looking forward to this one too! I haven't read about ballerinas before, just watched movies, but I think the pressure and delicacy of their art can make for an interesting story and the fact that demons are involved adds a dark exciting element. This should be a good one! :)
