This weeks question is:
If you can step into one characters shoes (in a book) and be them for a day, who would it be and why? Also, if you want to be creative, what scene?

I answered:
This is so hard...There are so many great characters out there. I admire any character who is confident and unafraid to be themselves because those are some of the things I struggle with. I'd love to be a badass like Tris or Katniss or maybe a character that's constantly traveling because I have major wanderlust and am sadly too broke to do anything about it. lol

The Friday 56 is a meme hosted by Freda's Voice. Basically you flip to page 56 (or 56% in your eReader) of any book and post a sentence or two (more if you want) from that page without being too spoiler-y. This gives us a glimpse into what you are reading or have read, and may even prompt us to add your book to our TBR piles!

My teaser:
"So you're not denying you have a girlfriend."
"Nope. Not denying, but not confirming, either."
"Then can you tell us about this message you posted to your website last night? You asked girls to bring their undergarments to your show and toss them onstage for you. Was this a publicity stunt, and have you read any of the comments angry parents are leaving?"

I like badass characters too! They're awesome and cool.

OOh nice! I adored Tris! Thought she was so brave! I don't know if I would've had the courage to do all she did!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT day!

True...I think I could handle one day. Maybe. haha
DeleteI approve of your badass ladies choice :) They'd be awesome! Your mention of travelling made me think of the movie Eat, Pray, Love -- which is based on a book, which technically counts lol -- and all the places in the movie that I would love to go to!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read or seen the movie for that yet I don't think. But I have so many places I want to go. I'm hoping to do some traveling once I finish my AA and am ready to transfer. *fingers crossed*
DeleteGood choice and intriguing snippet!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my 56 (With Book Beginnings).
I can't think who I would change places with. The ladies you mention are all strong women but I wouldn't want to face the dangers they face. I like your snippet too. I haven't heard of this book. Check out my 56s and BBs at 21 and 22 on Freda's linky. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteTris would be cool! However, I'm not sure if I could survive her world! Old follower!

I'm making myself believe that I would be able to pull of some of the things Tris does. Any character I can easily relate to wouldn't be bad. Sometimes it isn't even the characters I want to be for a day, but just a member of their family. Some families I have read about in books crack me up, and I think it would be so cool to experience a day with them.

Tris and Katniss are both awesome choices!! I don't know if I'd want to be either of them though, just because I'm really not a badass! XD New Bloglovin follower :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my F&F!
Was he trying to make someone jealous or is he a general douche nugget? LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
haha! It was for a TV interview.
DeleteTris is an awesome character! Real nice pick.

Here’s my FF!
Daisy and the FrontMan sounds like a fun story. Rock 'n roll!
ReplyDeleteMy Friday post features Widow’s Tears.
I think if I had to choose, I'd rather be Tris than Katniss. Not entirely sure why... but I think I find the Divergent world a bit more exciting than The Hunger Games world. Either, both characters are awesome. Also, it's so funny that you mentioned wanderlust/a character that travels, because that was the main reason for who I picked in my answer. :D
